About the Program
The Bachelor of Public Health (BPH) program, currently the only undergraduate program in the School, commenced in 2010 in response to the need for adequately trained mid-level technical and leadership capacity for the Ghanaian health sector. The BPH program is designed to offer opportunities for these mid-level health professionals, originally with diplomas or certificates, to upgrade themselves. It also serves as an opportunity for continuing professional development. The program has been designed with the following specializations (tracks):

Entry Requirements
SSSCE/WASSCE/GBCE:

The general requirements for admission of WASSCE, SSSCE and GBCE candidates to first-degree programs are three (3) credit passes in three relevant elective subjects.

SSSCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
WASSCE Candidates: Credits Passes (A1-C6) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, plus three (3) relevant electives subjects.
GBCE Candidates: Credit Passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects including English language and Mathematics plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.
HND and other Diploma Holders Seeking Admission into Degree Programs:
HND and other Diploma applicants seeking admission into Degree programs should possess at least a Second Class (Lower Division) in the relevant area.

The applicants would be admitted to level 200 depending on the programs for which they have applied.
Candidates would be required to pass a selection interview to be conducted by the University.
Mature Applicants:
The applicant must be at least 25 years old, and show proof of age with birth certificate or any legitimate documentary proof of date of birth which is at least 25 years old at the time of application. Have passes in five G.C.E ‘O’ Level subjects including English Language, Mathematic/Statistics and Science;
SSSCE/WASSCE holders must have passes in English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science, and three elective subjects. (For candidates wishing to pursue Mathematics and Computer Science courses, the elective subjects should include Elective Mathematics).
Candidates would be expected to write and pass a selection examination to be conducted by the University.
Candidates who obtain satisfactory marks would be invited to attend an interview to be conducted by the University.
